This has to be the best way to see the city and a superb introduction to the peoples, history, industry and smells of Cape Town. A gentle cycle along the sea front of Green Point, past the World Cup 2010 Stadium then along a network of cycle paths for a pushbike through the Bo Kaap and the Company Gardens past ‘Desmond Tutu’s Cathedral’ , Green Market Square and the Flower Sellers. The Grand Parade is where Nelson Mandela made some famous speeches and the Castle is the oldest building and our guides will elaborate as we ride by. Even the statues , sculptures and Graffiti have build in stories to be told. No tours are ever the same somehow and that is cool.

The first and only tour of Cape Town on skateboards.
Pedro our bike guide and mechanic is a skateboarder of note and just loved the idea of cruising through the streets of Cape Town showing off the city’s heart. The route follows along the pedestrian paths of Green Point near the new stadium and on the promenade and then loops into the old town.
Often the route is altered to best suit everyone.
For less proficient skaters they can opt for a scooter and get the same experience in an equally cool way.
Meet in Green Point near the stadium
Tour lasts 3 to 4 hours
Tour starts at 09h00 and will be finished by 1pm
Tour Cost R 360 (or 19,8pounds or $30 US)

Reviews of our tours
Where do the two oceans meet? And why is it called “the Cape of Good Hope”? Join us on a journey of discovery as we explore the splendour of the Cape Peninsula in Cape Town. We follow the Atlantic Seaboard, past Clifton & Camps Bay, to the fishing hamlet of Hout Bay for an optional boat cruise to Duiker Island to experience thousands of Cape Fur Seals in their natural habitat (R45). We continue along the scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive to Simon’s Town to meet up with a colony of rare African (Jackass) Penguins at Boulders Beach.
You would’ve noticed the bicycles behind the bus by now! Once inside the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, we swap four wheels for two to get some fresh air into our lungs and to build up a healthy appetite.
Our legendary scrumptious picnic lunch will then be served somewhere in the reserve… maybe at one of the stunning beaches! Are you brave enough to challenge the Atlantic?
After lunch we hike to the top lighthouse at Cape Point and then to the Cape of Good Hope. Both hikes offer breathtaking vistas and REAL FRESH AIR! We return home via Scarborough and Kommetjie.
You will need:
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Shorts or trousers
- A sweater/windbreaker
- Sunscreen (For summer time… SPF 30+)
- Bathing costume. (Should the weather allow it, we will have lunch at one of the beaches and swimming might be possible!)

OK so we cannot ride up to the top of TABLE MOUNTAIN
itself, but rather from Table Mountain Road around to the Kings Blockhouse that used to guard the Cape at one stage. Here there is a view to False Bay and the mountains of the Winelands on the far side of the sandy Cape Flats.
The trail is mainly on dirt service roads with some optional single track and fun downhills as well. That of course means that there are some climbs to deal with but then again I have never found a hill that I couldn’t walk.
Price: R700 per person; includes bike rental, helmet and guide and pick up and drop off at your guest house.
Tour times: Tours held daily. On request – minimum 4. We will take fewer but the price per person will be adjusted accordingly.
Difficulty: This is not a technical route although there is some cool single track sections on the far side which can be included or walked. We will always tailor the ride to suit the ability of the group where possible to ensure a all round fun experience.Note that there are some short steep bits which again can be walked.

We visit the Franschoek & Stellenbosch wine regions with some gentle cycling to add to the excitement of the day. Nothing too taxing, just a leisurely pedal between wine estates with a well deserved, hearty picnic lunch to reward your efforts. You should return to Cape Town well excercised, well fed and well “watered” – a great combination of activity and revelry.
We depart from Cape Town for the Franschoek wine region, where we begin our cycle along the quiet Robertsveli Rd – 7 kms into the town of Franschoek. We explore this charming French Huguenot village, then cycle on a further 3km to Augusta winery, where we stop for a wine tasting and cellar tour.
We then Continue a further 2 kms to Mont Rochelle winery for another tasting and a well-deserved picnic lunch amidst spectacular surroundings. After lunch we transfer to the picturesque university town of Stellenbosch, with it’s distinctive Cape Dutch architecture, ending with a final tasting at Spier winery, before transferring back to Cape Town, well exercised, well fed and well “watered” – a great combination of activity and revelry.
The route and wineries change seasonally to keep it real.
